Information you can trace

Our editorial guides explain information from official resort pages and maps in our own words. Sources and review dates are included so you can check the details yourself. A review date is not a guarantee that facilities or operations have stayed the same.

Lift guides cover a selection of lifts. Resort totals describe the published size of a resort, not today’s operating lifts or runs. Conflicting totals are marked “Unresolved”; missing figures are never shown as zero.

Weather at the resorts

Temperatures and weather symbols come from MET Norway’s Locationforecast. They are a forecast for the current hour at a fixed point, not a reading from a resort weather station. Times are shown in Norwegian local time.

The place and elevation are shown with the forecast. Points lie in different parts of the ski areas; conditions can differ at the base and summit. “Updated” is the provider’s forecast update time. Delayed data is labelled; unavailable or excessively old data is not presented as current.

Estimated natural snow

Natural snow depth comes from NVE/seNorge and is modelled for a 1 km² grid cell near each destination. It is not a measurement on a piste and does not include a reliable account of grooming or artificial snow. The grid cell’s average elevation may differ from the weather point’s elevation.

The date is the date of the snow estimate, not the time you opened the page. A dash means unavailable; 0 cm means the model actually reports zero. Snow forecasts and depth figures do not establish whether a resort is open.

Check with the resort on the day

For open lifts and runs, trail access, opening hours, prices and lift passes, follow the resort’s own links. We do not operate a live lift-status feed or sell passes. Webcam links open external resort pages; no camera players load automatically here.

Photographs and illustrations

Photographs show destinations or their surroundings. They are archive images, not today’s snow conditions. Photographer, source and licence are credited beside the image. Realistic illustrations are labelled and depict imagined winter settings, not the actual resort layout.

Two languages, one set of resort data

The English edition includes all resort overview pages, selected lift guides, lift-pass links, webcams and practical information. Additional Norwegian guides and personal trip tools remain available in Norwegian. Resort and lift names stay in their original form so they match signs and maps.
