Favourites, lift lists and trips

The Norwegian trip tools store favourites, selected lifts and trips locally in your browser. Trips may include dates, destinations, transport, notes, meeting points, packing lists and budgets. We have no separate database for this information and it does not automatically sync between devices. Changing language does not clear these records.

Remove favourites with the heart button, lifts using their list buttons and saved trips individually in “Mine turer”. “Ny tur” resets the form but retains saved trips. The last deletion can be undone while the page remains open. Clearing site data removes local records; private browsing may not retain them.

A valid unsaved draft may be recovered in the same tab. Save or back up a trip for lasting storage; a draft is not guaranteed to survive closing the browser.

Backups and sharing

You can download saved trips and import them in another browser. The file includes trip names, notes, travel choices, checklists and budgets. Favourites and the separate lift list are not included. Import is processed locally and is not uploaded to a separate Heisinfo server. Keep the file yourself and check the imported trips before deleting the old copy.

Calendar exports and copied sharing text may contain your notes. You choose whether to download or share them; Heisinfo does not send your plans to anyone. The lift-list text export contains lifts and sources and cannot be imported.

Search links contain the search text and selected filters, not personal favourites or trips. Do not put personal information into search fields.

Hosting and visitor statistics

Heisinfo.no is hosted on Vercel. Technical requests may appear in security and troubleshooting logs. No account is needed.

We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate information about page visits, browsers, device types and approximate geographical areas. It does not use cookies. We remove query strings and URL fragments before sending page addresses to analytics. Trip plans, notes, favourites and lift lists are not sent to analytics.

External services

Weather and snow requests go through our server using fixed destination coordinates. We do not request your location or send your IP address, favourites or trip plans to MET Norway or NVE.

Resort, webcam and provider links open other websites, whose own terms and privacy notices apply. No external webcam player loads automatically.

Recently visited resorts

The Norwegian site stores your five most recently visited resorts in your browser. This history is not sent to us. Clear it in the homepage’s recently visited section or by clearing site data.
